Monday Blues

Monday Blues??? Not just because i mostly tend to wear blue on this day... definitely not because my wardrobe has majority of it.

Well unlike others I get this feeling much before the day starts. By sunday evening my body clock starts reminding me - the time is running out. Have all the fun u can. Tomo again the same old routine.

There is nothing wrong about my work. Just the pressure of having a routine. Simply put i hate restrictions, rules and set routines. It sort of hinders my creativity ( some of them might know whom i flicked it from ... creative freedom hahha :P )

After quarter of my ideal life span passed by, i sort of am used to these feeings. I should say back in college it was lesser as compared to while working.

For me it just lasts till sunday, once monday kicks in - i go with the flow. As the day progresses - I realise why was that a reminder from my inner ticking mechanism. I forget the same rules i used to hate and once it stops over the weekend.. my body assumes may be she s quit the job. thats all.. THE END hahha

To its dissappointment - I try hard consciously to try to fit in. Well lets try to remember how was it last week. Wat all did we do???

The main indicator of this phenomenon is the large no of accounts that i have to login. mails in diff domain. bank accounts. and numerous other e-utilities. I used to have this very diff problem - i used to remember the password but wat was the username i gave to this account 8-O

By the time all the passwords and userids are recovered, i steady my boat that flows with the time for another monday. Every monday i feel they should do away with the concept of weekend. Rather work for a long time and take a big vacation too !!!

u know who says 2 days she forgets what she is supposed to do. a week or 10 days of vacation she would forget where to come and why to come!!!

Weekend kicks

What is that makes the working population to look out for a weekend with so much zeal like a kid for icecream or chocalate?

Its just another day. No ways!!! How much ever one can love their job but one always welcomes the weekend. May be because of the change after doing work or meeting a set of people or change of location. Spending more time with family and friends who are not part of the set people we previously told abt. Just laze around. More than anything it could do with the idea that there is no pressure of actually finishing with a work or any deadlines attached to taskbars. Sleep more no alarms, these days we have option of unchecking the alarm on weekends to exempt the phones to rest too!!!

Now you know what the next post is going to be on... your guess is same as mine.. it doesnt take rocket science to know... Monday blues :D

Make less out of a weekend.. dont treat it like a weekday by making more out of it :P

Prejudiced Bias

"You are very judgemental". She got to hear that often.

Even though her pyschoanalytical skills were impeccable, doesnt mean it was non faulty or centum accurate.

"Oh he is so gayish. She is very weird huh" These sentences were stemming from her urge to fit everyone in a certain invisible framework that was databased over years. Added with obsession with zodiac signs. "Scorpions never forgive and carry their grudge till the grave" "Most friendly lot of the are the virgoes who truely care for the others selflessly" "cancerians dont reveal their inner selves even to the most closest of friends" etc etc..

It takes a life time to know a person, but when the judgement is already passed by the Lord Herself... it leads to "Oh i never knew he was so sweet and caring re!!!"

May this change is what makes the life exciting for the adventurous spirit waiting to make the whole life around her happening.

"He is such a big shot, i never knew. he is so humble. or sometimes itna chomu lag raha tha :P " Those who get to hear this often you know the logic behind the words

Working hard or hardly

Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under the trees on a summer’s day, listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time. – John Lubbock, English biologist & politician (1834 – 1913)

Nice quote and I really believe in it.

There has been a shift in the attitude of general public, at-least that is what media is projecting - Stop Rat Race ( if searched for this string in google, PETA would be happy )

Basically, all the cut throat competition is baseless. There is more emphasis on the individuality. Exploring oneself. Etc etc...

But are all these actually helping us, that we are just a developing nation in the hope of being world super power ( we have been claiming so.. wil I be able to see it happening in my life time .. well i do believe so! ) With huge population and restriction, rather limitation to the resources we have - interms of infrastructure or any possibilities - can we afford to remain satisfied with an underutilized potential of self.

The question could have an extension - if you say that kids should discover what they like and parents not force their expectations on them.

"when the kids grow up to have enough power of understanding of their liking, their competitiveness goes down in front of a kid who has been training from childhood ( even before he knew wat he/she wanted )" Hence until or unless the child is a prodigy, its difficult to compete.

Enjoying the childhood is necessary but again at the cost of good education and learning? What is the line that needs to be drawn? And who decides it?

From the quote I gave in the beginning, we have to emphasize on "Sometimes".. :)

Agony of new

Its been third day since i joined this place. Somehow one is at unease. Is it fear of the unknown. or being out of the comfort zone. Any extrovert who claims to be friendly and super adaptive skills also would face this.

* You are introduced to numerous people. Their names, background.. phew!! on the contrary for everyone else you are the only one whom they need to remember. If you ask, i would say i know myself better by giving my intro to so many of them :P

* Every set up has a culture. Still unsure as to what is considered right and what is not.

* In this case, colg to corp transition. Responsibility and an amout of sophistication that is expected out of you

* Now comes the most imp of them all ... the actual work. Everyone seems to be expert in what they do and u are sitting in your cubicle with a dunce cap on!!!
supervisor's attempts to make things simple will not be simple enough and common sense goes for a toss.

Not that what we claimed in our interviews about how great I was, are entirely wrong nor that i am giving up on the challenging work we always aspired for! Its just a feeling and a phase that i am going through :D

Cheers!!! Keep smiling. Things would dawn upon us, the betterness we all look fwd to!!!
